 SKILL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME AT GUWAHATI REGIONAL CENTRE |
Since the year 2007 Guwahati Regional Centre has been conducting a number of Short Term Skill Based Competency Development Programmmes for youth particularly for those who could not avail of higher education. These Programmes are of short duration. Residential facilities provided wherever necessary. The Programmes have been completely sponsored by the Educational Development of North East Region Unit EDNERU of IGNOU. Some of the Programmes are:- Water Harvesting, Integrated Farming System, Cell Phone Repairs and Maintenance, Fundamentals of Computer Application, Screen Printing, Conventional lathe, Motor Cycle Repairs and Maintenance, Soft Skills Developments Programmes, Leadership Development Programme, etc. Around 800 youth have so far benefited from these Programmes. ANY YOUNG PERSON WHO HAS COMPLETED CLASS 8 (EIGHT) LEVEL MAY REGISTER ONLINE OR IN PERSON AT REGIONAL CENTRE FOR THESE PROGRAMMES. Candidates selected will be informed about the date and venue of the Programme, when it is finalized. |
